Enable Update Windows XP  through Proxy using Windows Automatic Updates.

   When your network use proxy to connect to internet, you may not be able to use Windows XP Automatic Updates to updates your Windows XP directly for the internet.  Until you configure Windows XP to use proxy server you cannot enable Windows automatic updates.  To enable Windows XP to use proxy server, you need to setup your Windows XP default proxy server using proxycfg the proxy configuration tools.  The step by step below show how to configure Windows XP Automatic Updates to use proxy server. 

Download sha256sum.exe for Windows

Start download sha256sum.exe for Windows or

Download sha256sum.zip the sh256sum.exe in zip format

Check Windows XP system information using systeminfo command.

Check Windows XP uptime.

   The article below show the step by step using sha256sum on Windows XP.  The step by step example below show how to use the sha256sum.exe on Windows XP to check sha256 checksum for Fedora 11 ISO image that have been download on Windows XP system.  To check the sha256sum, first we must have the tools... the sha256sum.exe and the ISO image that we want to check for the sha256 checksum, in this example I use the Fedora 11 ISO image.

   The error message Unable to open kernel device "\\.\Global\vmx86": The system cannot find the file appear after I try to run virtual machine on my Windows XP machine.  This error message appear after I try to upgrade VMware software to new version, but the installation not quite successful.  I try to remove VMware by the normal way… trough the Windows Control Panel -> Add or Remove Program… but the VMware not even exist there….
