Linux shell login screen on Fedora 13. How to get this Linux text base screen or some say Linux shell? If your Linux Fedora give you the GUI screen (Graphical User Interface Desktop) after the computer boot, you may need to press Ctrl + Alt + F2 (or just play around with... Ctrl + Alt + F1, Ctrl + Alt + F2, Ctrl + Alt + F3, Ctrl + Alt + F4, Ctrl + Alt + F5, Ctrl + Alt + F6 till Ctrl + Alt + F7 see what happen) to get this shell text login screen. The text base login screen login give you the default shell after you log in, just type in user login name and hit 'Enter' key... then key in password (note: you may not se any asterisks (*) when you type in the password,... just another security futures to prevent shoulder surfing) and hit 'Enter' key again to log in to the Linux shell.
