How to Install Flash Player on Fedora 10
Step by step how to install flash player on Fedora 10.
When using Firefox web browser on Fedora to open the site that require flash player to load or to play an video as an example on youtube.com site... you might get error that say something like JavaScript turn off or an old version of Adobe's Flash player.... this might be that you don't have the adobe flash player install on your Fedora system. Fedora does not include adobe flash player plugin for several reason... but the step by step below show the example how to install flash player on Fedora 10 manually.
Install flash player.
1. To install Adobe flash player on Fedora 10 and if you happen to be on youtube.com site.. just click link that say Get the Latest Flash Player or go the flash player download site get adobe flashplayer and choose from the drop down menu (YUM for Linux) as show on figure below
2. and click Agree and Install button now button to start download flash payer repository that use by yum to install flash player in Fedora system.
3. The dialog box say.... chose Save File and click OK button to save flash player rpm package on your Fedora system disk.
4. Open the x terminal and go to the directory that you download the adobe flash rpm file.
[fedora10@fedora10 ~]$ cd Download/
[fedora10@fedora10 Download]$ pwd
/home/fedora10/Download
[fedora10@fedora10 Download]$
5. Use ls command to verify that the downloaded file is on your current directory
[fedora10@fedora10 Download]$ ls
adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm
[fedora10@fedora10 Download]$
6. Execute command below to install flash player rpm file for adobe flash player repository file that require by yum.
[fedora10@fedora10 Download]$ su -c "rpm -Uvh adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm"

7. Then run yum command to download install Adobe Flash Player on Fedora 10

8. Now the only thing you need to do just ... restart Firefox browser (of course you need to close all the Firefox browser and open it again :-) )
9. Then open YouTube and play YouTube video using Firefox web browser... if you can see a moving picture... you now officially successful install flash player on Fedora system... congratulation :-)
